El País, the Madrid-based newspaper, which I’ve read and admired for many years, picked up an article I wrote in the course of my consulting work at the World Bank Group. A nice place to be. (Here’s the original in English.) One point of this story is that governments usually don’t have the resources to conserve biodiversity effectively. You need to get the private sector into the act, an area in which Colombia is leading the way.
